I just finished assembling a 2x4basics AnySize Bench 11200 and am very happy with it. The bench assembly took a little longer than I thought it would. I think I worked on it for about two hours. I wasn't counting on having to drill pilot holes for the dozens of screws (included) that had to be used putting the bench together. Nor did I figure on spending so much time figuring out how to best sink the screws into the underside of the boards. Don't worry about slanting the screws into the wood a bit. It is impossible to get a drill into a perfect position for making a 90 degree hole. Most of the screws do not show anyhow.

It was necessary to tip the bench over in order drill pilot holes and to get at the screws. I had to clamp the 2x4's to the plastic/composite ends to keep them from falling off or moving out of position. I would recommend using a couple of small carpentry clamps to hold things in place while putting the bench together.

These are the coolest things! We bought 3 sets and made two 12 feet benches, each with one of these in the middle for extra support. We used redwood and they turned out really nice! I love that these come with all the hardware you need. All you have to do is buy the 2x4's and just slide them through and screw them in place! So easy! And you can make them as long as you want. However, if you make the benches long like we did you do need the extra support of more of these. I definately recommend these to anyone!

The vinyl seats on my pontoon boat had deteriorated over the years of exposure to sun and weather. Yes, we started out with good intentions of covering the boat, but we all get lazy after a while.

I had been looking for a solution other than spending a lot of money to have the seats recovered. Found the bench ends of 2x4 basics on line vs. many other types of outdoor benches available that are all very expensive.

The 2x4 basics have worked out perfect. Easy to assemble, very sturdy, durable for the crowd we get on the pontoon boat.

I actually made the benches eight feet long even though the recommendation is not to exceed six feet. I made a center support from a short 2x6 (used 2x4's for the bench as instructed) using the bench end as a template. Just cut the shape and angles with a sabre saw. I have been a leather craftsman since 1955. I found Leather Honey in the 60's, but it disappeared for a while. It is really great to see it back on the market. I make leather goods and use Leather Honey to help preserve the leather and restore suppleness. It works great.
When using tooling leather, the dry leather is first moistened with water, carved and tooled. Then the finish is applied. The finish must penetrate the leather and preserve it. Leather Honey does this better than any other finish that I have used. The suppleness that was removed in the tanning process is restored, the leather is protected from drying and cracking and a beautiful, durable lasting finish is obtained. I live in the desert and my very expensive leather couch has really taken a beating with the lack of moisture in the air. I have used no less than 10 other products to condition my cracking sofa. They all seem to work for a day or two and then the dryness and cracking return. I purchased this product and followed the simple instructions and I am amazed! My couch looks fantastic- it is still worn (as a 15 year old couch should be) but the rough, brittle feeling to the leather is gone. My couch feels and looks healthy again!

I'm the type of person that "when in doubt", leave it alone. I have a leather couch and recliner that were nice, but about four years old. Started to look dingy with some deep lines forming. Didn't know what to do... didn't want to make it worse so I left it alone. Then I came online and tried leather honey. It's amazing. Used less than half the bottle (I used alot) and the leather just loves the stuff. I saddle soaped it first, then let it dry. Leather honey is not a cleaner, but a conditioner.

Get a soft cloth. It's a little hard at first, because the leather honey is thick. Once the rag gets saturated it goes on real easy.

Now I remember the luster and shine it had when new. Only now its even better because its broken in. I always wondered how to take care of leather. Now I know.

I was very skeptical on purchasing a couch on the internet, but price was good and I couldn't find the right color and size sectional that I was looking for at any furniture store. After reading bad reviews about purchasing the couch from other vendors and shipping nightmares, I decided to pay extra and purchase the couch from Amazon and get free shipping. The three boxes made it into my house at the estimated delivery date (deliverd by ABF) without too much challenge. I had to make it up a flight of right angle stairs into a 2nd floor apartment. I can see that the assembly might be a pain for some people because the directions are just pictures. But if your familiar with bolts, locks nuts, and washers its pretty self-explanatory. The couch is light, wood isn't of the best material, but it seems like it is well built and sturdy. The couch shouldn't break unless someone where to cannonball on it. First I'd like to announce once again that the shipping company used by Visiondecor is horrible (Baileys)! Not only was it late; they also came to my city just twice a month. (im in cheyenne, wy the capitol of the state btw) i ordered it on 29 Jan 2010 and received it today on 11 Mar 2010!

the furniture itself is beautiful! i made my rating based off of this alone. (Visiondecor just needs a new shipping company). they also promised to refund me the cost of shipping which was $228 for the hassle. I paid about $460 for my couch here on Amazon and as soon as i did they raised the price to $999! i wouldnt pay that much for it! the material and color is nice! the chaise is reversible which is a good thing except for the fact that the two pieces of the actual sectional (the chaise and the couch part) dont connect! and im guessing that it is for... Disappointed in how long it took to get delivered. Ordered on 11-21 and did not get delivered until 12-11 plus delivery was 1 1/2 hrs late. There was a defect with the chaise lounge (wood cracked by one of the screw holes). Does require assembly. Like the furniture, very comfy. Disappointed with delivery time and defect.
